Single Cell

A meditative philosophical story about a being reborn as a single-celled organism in a vast ocean. Having escaped the exhaustion of human existence — names, memories, bills, relationships, futures, regrets — the protagonist finds that the smallest possible life holds the greatest possible peace. Happiness is a molecule touching a membrane. Time is light and dark. The entire universe fits in a fraction of a millimeter.
